10月中下旬，是该区红苕收获的最佳时节。近日，由黔江区科委、农业局绿品办、农技站等相关领导及业务技术人员组成的测产验收小组，对黔江区2007年高淀粉红苕基地生产进行绿色认证及现场测产验收。今年，黔江区创建高淀粉红苕基地1.5万亩，全区创办各级高产示范片3250亩，其中核心高产示范片建立在水田乡，面积500亩。经实地测产，大窝苕平均每窝6.3公斤，单个苕重达4.8公斤；丰产示范片平均亩产达3240公斤；预计高淀粉红苕基地平均亩产可达2500公斤以上。目前，绿色高淀粉红苕生产基地认证正在进行之中。
