互助土族自治县西山乡农民王顺邦怀抱4个乌黑的土豆，兴冲冲地来到报社，一见记者就说：“告诉你一个好消息，‘黑美人’种成了，我刚和宁食集团谈好，人家答应在超市销售哩！”
“黑美人”是王顺邦5月份从兰州一家科研所引进的土豆新品种，呈紫黑色，富含淀粉，在我国比较罕见。敢于闯市场的土豆种植户王顺邦听说“黑美人”经济价值后，以每斤5元的价格购得种子，一次性租地种了32亩。8月28日，王顺邦在试挖时，最多一株下共挖出大小不一的27个土豆，平均每株产量达2斤左右，照此估计，每亩产量可达4000斤以上。
丰收已经不成问题，可是怎么卖出去呢？王顺邦专程从互助赶到西宁，与几家大餐厅和超市联系，希望得到帮助。没想到，宁食集团总经理应宏十分爽快，答应让他进宁食集团的超市销售，并免去相关费用。
