近日，自治区科技厅组织中国热带农业科学院热带作物品种资源研究所、广西大学、广西亚热带作物研究所有关专家，到藤县古龙镇金凤村进行木薯新品种集成技术应用开发项目进行测产验收。
在金凤村千亩木薯示范基地，专家组随机抽取种植新选048号木薯的三个点进行测产，测算出该品种平均亩产鲜薯3890公斤，高出本地常规品种1790公斤，增产效果显著。
近年来，藤县不断引进高产优质木薯新品种、推广栽培新技术，发展木薯种植业。2010年，该县通过自治区科技厅组织的评审，成为全区四个木薯产业科技重点示范县之一，并在2011年开始实施木薯新品种集成技术应用示范项目。两年来，藤县在金鸡镇思善村、旺国村和藤州镇平政村、古龙镇金凤村、东荣镇昨雅村建立了五个千亩示范基地，推广优良木薯新品种和高密度起垄栽培技术，均获得了好收成。
