据圣保罗11月6日消息，巴西国家商品供应总局（Conab）周四表示，巴西2008/09年度玉米(资讯,行情)产量预计为5430万-5520万吨，较2007/08年度减少7.3%。
Conab在10月8日曾预估巴西2008/09年度玉米产量将达到5500-5590万吨。
Conab称玉米播种面积预计为1440万-1460万公顷。
鉴于玉米生产成本高于大豆(资讯,行情)，许多农户从玉米转向播种大豆。
巴西春季和秋季均播种玉米。
巴西是继美国之后全球第二玉米出口国，在巴西玉米是仅次于大豆的农作物。
