据《世界报》7月17日报道，欧盟27位农业部长日前未就是否允许商业化种植转基因工业用Amflora土豆达成一致，因此欧委会将独立做出决定，料将最近正式批准。转基因Amflora土豆是由巴斯夫公司开发、用于生产服装粘合剂和纸张的基因改造作物，与传统的食用土豆的淀粉结构存在差异。据悉，欧洲食品安全局验证了其安全性，德国、荷兰、瑞典和英国表示支持，意大利、波兰、奥地利等国反对。巴斯夫公司植物科学全球计划负责人Thorston Storck表示，巴斯夫已在德国155公顷的试验田种植了该产品，并对其进行了10年以上的跟踪检测。
