据越南《经济时报》4月19日报道，越南工贸部、农业与农村发展部正在制定"大力促进对中国出口农产品计划"，将天然橡胶、木薯及木薯制品、水产品、木制品、胡椒和热带水果等列为对华出口重点商品，及时向出口企业提供中国市场需求信息，介绍中方关于商品包装和商标使用的相关规定，协调中方解决农产品通关难问题等。
报道称，2011年越南对华出口农产品49亿美元，占越农产品出口额的五分之一。中国是越南最大的农产品出口市场。目前，越南对华出口农产品面临以下问题，一是越方农产品主要通过中方指定的边贸口岸出口，高峰期常发生商品在口岸大量积压的现象，给越方造成较大损失；二是对华出口的大部分农产品为原材料或粗加工产品，附加值低；三是中方商人深入产区收购农产品，越方出口企业无法预知中方需求，常常陷于被动。
